On February 28, the 21st meeting of the Joint Committee for the Bilateral Fund took place at the Portuguese Cinematheque.

Organized by the National Focal Point of the EEA Grants, the meeting brought together representatives from the Norwegian Embassy, the Portuguese Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and Program Operators. The main objective was to review the funded initiatives under the Fund for Bilateral Relations.

The morning session included presentations on bilateral activities, led by the National Focal Point and Programme Operators. Participants analysed the progress of approved predefined initiatives and outlined plans for the initiatives to be developed in 2025. A brief presentation was also given on the FilmSchool project, promoted by the Portuguese Cinematheque and funded under the FBR. This project focuses on film literacy, aiming to design, develop, and promote activities among students, using cinema and its various approaches to contextualize the environment in which they live and study.

In the afternoon, attendees had the opportunity to watch three short films as part of the FilmAr – Digitization of Cinematic Heritage project, funded by the Culture Programme.
