Europe Day celebrations in Oslo

Europe Day celebrated with exhibition of emblematic projects funded by EEA Grants

On the 13th of May, the Embassy of Portugal in Oslo took part in the Europe Day celebrations with an exhibition about emblematic projects funded by the EEA Grants during the 2014-2021 period. The Embassy's contribution to the aforementioned celebrations, held at the Nobel Peace Center and organised by the Delegation of the European Union in Oslo, included five panels, each one dedicated to an EEA Grants cooperation project involving of Portuguese and Norwegian entities:

  1. Terra Incognita's project, under the Culture Programme, which includes a combination of musical, performance and multimedia creations and the exploration of the territorial space of São Miguel Island;
  2. Biosphere Reserves: sustainable territories, resilient communities' project, under the Environment Programme, dedicated to sustainable development;
  3. AmpliAqua's project, under the Blue Growth Programme, dedicated to the development of more efficient and sustainable aquaponic systems;
  4. Participo! – Women’s civic and political participation's project, within the scope of Work-Life Balance Programme, dedicated to promoting women's civic and political participation;
  5. Transformation Agents 3C’s (Knowledge, Awareness, Empowerment)'s project, as a part of the Active Citizens Fund Programme, dedicated to promoting the rights of children and teenagers, sons of parents in situations of deprivation of liberty. 

The exhibition was also on display during the commemorations of the 10th of June, at the official Residence of the Ambassador of Portugal.

 This initiative from the Embassy of Portugal in Oslo, aimed at promoting the bilateral cooperation between Portugal and Norway under the scope of the EEA Grants was financed by the Bilateral Relations Fund.
