Event fostered exchange of experiences and presentation of best practices

On November 18 and 19, the EEA Grants National Focal Point participated in the autumn edition of the communication workshop organized by the Financial Mechanism Office (FMO), at the EFTA House in Brussels. The event brought together communication teams from National Focal Points, Program and Fund Operators, and the Embassies of Donor Countries, with the goal of strengthening communication and collaboration within the EEA Grants network.

The two days were dedicated to knowledge sharing, during which the National Focal Point, had the opportunity to present the celebration conference for the 30th anniversary of the EEA Grants, held in October 2024 at the Calouste Gulbenkian Foundation, as a best practice. The presentation highlighted various stages of the event's organization and the media outcomes achieved.

The workshop featured a panel of experts, including Nastja Klemencic, Head of Communication at the European Parliament, and Maciej Bury, Head of Digital Communication at the Council of Europe, offering insights into communication strategies in other European institutions. The FMO presented the Multisite, a new communication platform to be implemented in the upcoming Financial Mechanism, aiming to standardize the EEA Grants brand communication. Additionally, communication techniques used by donor countries and the connection of the EEA Grants with other international organizations were explored.

The agenda also included the presentation of best practices by other National Focal Points, and the workshop concluded with a group SWOT analysis of the new EEA Grants Multisite.
