The deadline for submitting applications to Call 1 of Culture Programme has been extended to 4th May 2020.
4th May and 3rd April are the new deadlines to submit proposals to Call 2 and Travel Grants.
Projects should be developed under mandatory partnerships between artistic entites based in Portugal, artistic entities from any of the Donor States (Iceland, Liechtenstein and Norway) and municipalities in low-density territories in the Mainland Portugal and in the Azores and Madeira Islands.

The Culture Programme held ten clarification sessions across Portugal mainland and islands, during October, about Open Call 1 “Local Development through Safeguarding and Revitalizing Coastal Cultural Heritage”.
Final clarification session for Coastal Cultural Heritage, held on November 12th at the National Museum of Ethnology.
On November 14th will be held in Lisbon a pitching and matchmaking seminar to promote the development of partnerships between national entities and donor countries.
The Directorate General for Cultural Heritage will promote, a clarification session in Sines, at the Art Center Cafeteria, at 2.30pm.
On 14th, 15th and 17th October, Azores hosts three clarification sessions in Angra do Heroísmo, Horta and Ponta Delgada.
On 11th of October, the Directorate General for Cultural Heritage will promote, a clarification session in Tavira, at the Municipal Library, at 10h00.
On 7th and 8th October, North hosts two clarification sessions in Viana do Castelo and Vila do Conde.
On November 14th, Directorate-General for the Arts will organize, in Lisbon, a pitching and matchmaking seminar to develop partnerships between Portuguese and Donor States artistic entities on the arts axis of EEA Grants' Culture Programme.
On 2nd of October the first clarification session will be held in Madeira Island, Funchal, at Casa-Museu Frederico de Freitas Auditorium, from 10 am to 1 pm.

On September 12th and 13th, Culture Programme will organize the "On Board Meeting" to promote the development and/or strengthening of national and international partnerships.
On the September 5th will be launched an open Call to finance projects under the “Local development through the safeguarding and revitalization of Coastal Cultural Heritage”.

On 23rd April the Culture Programme funded by the Financial Mechanism of the European Economic Area EEA Grants 2014 -2021 will be publicly presented.
This moment happened during the official visit of the Portuguese Minister of Foreign Affairs, Augusto Santos Silva, to Oslo, from February 25th to the 26th.
Promoted by Directorate General for Cultural Heritage, as programme operator, the meeting aimed to issues related to the structure of the programme.
Oslo received the Seminar for Programme Operators - Cultural Cooperation.
The Directorate General for Cultural Heritage was designated Programme Operator of Programme Area “Culture", in May 2018.
