The Environment Program (EEAGrants), in close collaboration with the Environmental Fund, held a working session on November 19, 2024, under the theme "Public Policy for Decarbonization - The Contribution of Cities to Carbon Neutrality and the Sustainable Development Goals."
The session took place at the Secretary General of the Ministry of Environment and Energy, with the aim of creating moments for sharing experiences among the various funded projects, reflecting on their execution, results achieved, and the future evolution of the projects.
In this context, five thematic working groups were organized around the following topics:
• Governance, involvement, and collaboration
• Environment, energy, mobility, and buildings
• Platforms, connectivity, and data management
• Replication and scalability
• Contribution to the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs)
The session's format involved dividing participants into five thematic groups, with a set of questions for each, aimed at promoting reflection and giving participants the opportunity to contribute to different topics, as they participated in multiple groups throughout the day.
Fifteen Living Labs responded to the invitation, including seven supported by the Environment Programme (Cascais Smart Pole | Cascais, PAB_Living-Lab | Loures, SMILE | Sintra, Asprela + Sustentável | Porto, Hub Criativo do Beato | Lisbon, Living Lab da Afurada | V.N.Gaia, and I4efficiency_Sintra) and eight supported by the Environmental Fund (FA) (LVpD Seixal, Águeda Sm@rt City Lab | Águeda, Living Lab de Matosinhos, Maia Living Lab | Maia, LVpDÉ | Évora, Alenquer GreenLab | Alenquer, BUILD | Braga, Quarteira Lab | Loulé).
