Project idea:
"NOPA would like to set up a residency were 10-20 Norwegian songwriters goes to Portugal for composing (and/or performing). And 10-20 songwriters from Portugal comes to Norway for composing (and/or performing there).
The Norwegian composers who participates in the project will be selected in an open call among NOPAs 1000+ members. The selected composers will receive a Grant + get all costs paid for the residency. NOPA has access to 10-15 different residencies all over Norway where the composers/songwriters from Portugal may choose which one suits their needs best. https://nopa.no/arbeidsboliger-i-norge/
In addition NOPA would like to invite the project partner from Portugal to several of NOPAs yearly events and seminar – to build up a strong and lasting cooperation between the Norwegian and Portuguese art scene. The selection of the Norwegian and Portuguese songwriters that will participate in the project should be done of a jury composed by both Norwegian and Portuguese members.
The description above is NOPAs initial plan for a project, however NOPA is also interested in looking into other project alternatives that may include songwriting/composing/music and/or performing arts".
